FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you need planning permission to build a horse gallop?

For the construction of ahorse gallop, you will tend to need planning permission, considering they take up long stretches of land and can change the land from purely agricultural to land used for equestrian purposes. You will need to contact your local authority if this applies to you.

What type of flooring should a horse gallop have?

Gallops can be made from various materials such as turf, sand, rubber, and synthetic fibres. Different equestrians will have differing preferences but if you're sure of the ground material you perform best on, we can accommodate that in the build of your gallop.

How much is horse gallop construction?

The longer a gallop is, the more it will cost to build. Other factors involved in pricing are the land that a gallop is built on and the materials that are used. This will typically range within the tens of thousands for construction but specific quoting will happen with an on-site survey.

How long does a horse gallop need to be?

The length of a gallop track varies depending on how land is used, but for training purposes, tracks can range up to a mile. Shorter tracks can be used, but in the case of what we build, we will need to understand more about how you plan on using the gallop and what your horses are typically comfortable with.
